Lots of activities for families and nature lovers at the BUFF® Mountain Festival of La Vall de Boí from the 29th of June to the 1st July

The great mountain festival of the Pyrenees returns from the 29th June 29 to the 1st July

The second edition of the BUFF® Mountain Festival is already underway at Barruera and la  Vall de Boí. A festival that will bring together outdoor sports enthusiasts on June 29 and 30 and July 1, 2018. The Pyrenees family and sports event will offer more variety of activities for all ages, more competition and the best environment to live a weekend of leisure and sport in an exceptional setting.

All kind of activities await the participants of the BUFF® Mountain Festival. In addition to competition, rafting, canyoning, climbing, orienteering, yoga or ascent of via ferrata and astronomy workshops, among other activities, will be offered. The festival has an area dedicated to children's entertainment, with a natural campus full of entertainment for the little ones and all of this enlivened with live music and many other surprises.

The more than 50 activities organized in the first edition concentrated more than 10,000 people, making the event a must for mountain sports lovers.

Under the name of Vall de Boí Trek, the hiking activities of the BUFF® Mountain Festival will be concentrated. A unique opportunity to get to know la Vall de Boí and enjoy its landscapes thanks to an extensive network of rural roads over 70 kilometers at the foot of Aigüestortes National Park.

The Falles of la Vall de Boí will also have a prominent role in the BUFF® Mountain Festival. Since ancient times the Falles are a tradition rooted in the villages of the valley and a festival of sun worship, which has been declared an Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO, now available to all participants of the Festival.


Space for two wheels: MTB and XM Duathlon

The SCOTT Marathon MTB by Taymory will land at the BUFF® Mountain Festival with the fourth and final race of a really spectacular competition. The race will feature two distances, of 37 km and 58 km that will take the riders from Barruera to the Boí Taüll ski resort, crossing spectacular landscapes along trails and technical stretches.

Another new attraction is the inclusion of the Mountain Duathlon (XM Duathlon) in the program of the BUFF® Mountain Festival. A total of 39 kilometers divided into 31 of Mountain Bike and 8 of trail running, with Barruera as a nerve center and including the ascent to the high levels of the ski resort of Boí Taüll. Registrations for the Duathlon and the SCOTT Marathon BTT by Taymory will be opened the 23rd of January.

Running: BUFF® Epic Trail

The main race will be once again the BUFF® Epic Trail Aigüestortes, which is renewed with races of 65, 42, 26 and 11 kilometers. The skymarathon race will be part of the Migu Run Skyrunner World Series calendar with the world's elite runners. Another novelty is that all races will start and finish in Barruera.
